Isidro Zepeda

Isidro Zepeda is a Chicano multimedia artist born and raised in the Coachella Valley. He is also an Associate Professor of English at Crafton Hills College. His artwork draws its wisdom from his Indigenous Mexican roots. It explores the spiritual qualities in everything, reminding us to examine closer how both objects and subjects exist, connect, and interact beyond their materiality.

His culture, artwork, and pedagogy are intertwined, and he advocates for equitable realities for everyone. Most recently, he has worked closely with Culturas Music and Arts, a non-profit organization advocating for the arts in the Coachella Valley, on creating community Zines as an intellectual approach to reclaiming historical memory.
