The Santa Clarita International Film Festival (SCIFF) will be closing the festival with an AMAZING movie, director interview and an awards ceremony.

Robin Givens

Robin Givens began her career working on The Cosby Show and Diff’rent Strokes which led her to landing the successful television series Head of Class. Film credits include Boomerang opposite Eddie Murphy, Head of State with Chris Rock, and Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys. Recent series regular credits include the hit CW show Riverdale (which she also directed) and OWN’s Ambitions. Her long running career as an actor led her to directing episodics, including the sixth season finale of Riverdale. Other directing credits include CW’S DYNASTY, and six independent features. Her latest was A Jenkins Family Christmas, with Golden Globe winner Regina Taylor.

Rick Garcia 

Rick Garcia is Lee Andrews Group’s Director of Communications. He has more than 30-years’ experience as a television and radio broadcaster in Los Angeles

Rick oversees the company’s media relations, media coaching and crises management departments. Rick is a recognized figure in Los Angeles broadcasting, having earned multiple Emmy awards as a news anchor at CBS2 and FOX11 News, During his broadcasting career, he has covered everything from fires and earthquakes, to political elections and several world championships by L.A.’s sports teams. He also has two dozen film and TV roles to his credit.

Rick was born in Los Angeles, grew up in the Antelope Valley and studied business at California State University Northridge.

Rick is an avid Rams, Dodgers, Lakers and Kings fan, He is also actively involved in several L.A. County charities and is on the executive board for the Child and Family Center of Santa Clarita.
