Born in Viña del Mar, Chile, Raul emigrated to Los Angeles in 1975. He earned a B.A. in Radio Television Film (RTVF) from Cal State Northridge in 1998. He worked as a Prep Tech, Equipment Puller, & Shipping Clerk for the world headquarters of Panavision in Woodland Hills, California from 2001-2003. He has been a member of the International Cinematographer’s Local 600 for over 20 years, working as a Digital Imaging Tech (Dit) for the last 16 years.
Previous work history and film credits include loading on Crash (2003) and The Longest Yard (2004), digital utility on Apocalypto (2005-06), 2nd AC (assistant camera) on Get Smart (2008) and Dit on Pee-wee’s Big Holiday (2105), Popstar (2016) and the last 6 seasons of SEAL Team.
Raul currently resides in Valencia, California with his wife and 3 children.
