Phil Lantis
Phil Lantis is the Arts and Events Manager for the City of Santa Clarita, where he oversees over one hundred City produced events a year including Concerts in the Park, Senses, the Cowboy Festival, and the Newhallywood Silent Film Festival. He also supervises the operations of an eighty-one-seat arts venue, the MAIN, in Old Town Newhall, and arts education, public art, art exhibits, and arts development programs.
Phil is a filmmaker and theatre producer, who studied Film at the State University of New York, College at Purchase. His short film “Away in a Trailer” premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival and was featured in the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. He has written four original plays, adapted two Greek plays, and wrote a Zoom play, “Casserole,” that premiered in 2020. He and his talented wife Nancy started Eclipse Theatre LA in 1996, and together they have produced fourteen theatre productions.
