Playing the Protagonist

By day, Riley crunches numbers, sips overpriced lattes and survives on four hours of sleep as an investment banker. By night, he fights evil villains, heads up the mafia and tames the wild west–at least in his fantasies. But even imaginations have plot holes. You see, Riley’s true calling is to be an artist, a passion buried under the expectation to “get rich or die tryin’.” His journey takes us through the jungle of corporate America, mental health, relationships on the rocks, and the pursuit for something more than a hefty paycheck—like a People’s Choice Award! It’s a story that asks: is success about the money in your account—or the dreams you refuse to let go?

Rage Rhonda

When her job takes a turn for the worst, Rhonda decides to start therapy. Maybe that’s where she’ll find a safe space. Afterall, patient confidentiality, right? A darkly comedic look at female rage within the context of loss and toxic work culture, Rage Rhonda is a story about self-acceptance and keeping your cool, which as Rhonda discovers, just takes a little… practice.

Salsa Furiosa

SIENNA AND THE SIT

SIENNA AND THE SIT is a story about the lengths to which we go to avoid our pain, the community that helps us through to the other side, and ultimately our own inner strength. Sienna, a heartbroken LA seeker ready to try any spiritual remedy, has tried everything to get past her ex, to no avail. When her friend Ruthie says there’s nothing left for her to do but sit Shiva, Sienna takes her metaphorical comment literally, and hosts a Shiva for her ex. Her self-absorbed, mostly actor friends are so ready for Sienna to finally move on, that they agree to her rather unusual proposal. Things start to unravel when a special guest guru, Linus, a self-proclaimed “Shiva” guide (Hindu god of destruction and death) shows up. Despite Sienna loving the synchronicities of the two Shivas, nothing could be less healing. And by the end, it turns into a bacchanalia of besties shoving their solutions in Sienna’s face to the point that she must escape. And finally sit with her grief.
