SYNOPSIS

“Gingersnap Christmas” is a female written, directed, and produced diversity-oriented feature film that depicts Caribbean-American family life and culture with additional Asian and British elements. It’s a touching and poignant story that features a talented, diverse cast and a terrific crew drawn from over 20 countries.

Our film explores, in a sensitive, healing and sometimes humorous way, the toll that the loss of loved ones can take on a family, especially during the holiday season when everyone around them is caught up in holiday joy they have a hard time sharing…

After Covid, when so many people were having trouble coping with the loss of family and friends, we decided to take the lightest genre – a Christmas movie – and use it as a healing opportunity to help ordinary people deal with and recover from losses in their own lives during the “happiest of holidays.”
